MSU’s Center for Quantum Technology has a long established track record in experimentally demonstrating optical quantum information processing.  The research is accelerating as the center assumes the leading role in a National Technology Initiative (NTI) Focused on Quantum Technologies.

We invites applications for different positions in experimental or theoretical studies of dark matter detection with optical atomic clocks. The candidate can choose between:

the Theme 1: Dark matter direct-detection experiments with the sensor network made of optical atomic clocks,
the Theme 2: Development of a new generation of optical sensors with enhanced detection limit for the variations in fine structure constant and other fundamental constant

The Centre for Quantum Optical Technologies, established under the International Research Agenda Programme operated by the Foundation for Polish Science and hosted by the Centre of New Technologies, University of Warsaw, seeks to fill several junior research positions in the Quantum Technologies Laboratory led by Professor Konrad Banaszek. Atom-photon interfaces for fibres and photonic chips

Efficient atom photon interfaces are the basis for quantum computers, fibre networks or miniaturised quantum sensors. Photons are ideal systems to create entangled states or to carry quantum information, while atoms are well suited for information storage or to mediate interactions between photons.
