PhD

Application deadline:

Sunday, January 2, 2022

We seek two PhD students to start in October 2022 for the following projects:

1. Quantum light spectroscopy of complex quantum systems

The theoretical project will develop schemes for quantum-enhanced spectroscopy of complex quantum systems – that is, to exploit the tools of quantum metrology for precisely estimating parameters of quantum systems coupled to quantum and classical environments.

2. Reliable quantum computations

Application deadline:

Saturday, January 1, 2022

We are inviting applications to fill 2 PhD positions to join the theory research group lead by Oriol Romero-Isart in Innsbruck (Austria), jointly affiliated with the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the University of Innsbruck.

Application deadline:

Monday, January 31, 2022

2022 Opening for Experimental Post-doctoral and PhD Positions (Ferlaino Lab)

We are looking for talented and motivated Postdocs and PhD students to join our Dipolar Quantum Gases Labs (www.erbium.at) at the University of Innsbruck and IQOQI, Austria.

OPEN POSITIONS 2022:
We are currently searching for talented and motivated post-doctoral research associates and PhD students. Openings are for the following projects:

The 5th Institute of Physics (University of Stuttgart) is searching for PhD and Postdoc candidates to complete our Quantum Computing team.

In our group, we have started a new project aiming to realize a Quantum Computer Demonstrator with several hundred qubits based on individually controlled Rydberg atoms. In this context, we have openings for PhD candidates and Postdocs with strong background in either atom trapping, complex control engineering, or active optics.

Application deadline:

Sunday, November 21, 2021

For our group at the University of Siegen (Germany) we are looking for a motivated postdoc and/or PhD student in the field of quantum information theory, foundations of quantum theory, and
quantum optics. The group is led by three PIs (Otfried Gühne, Matthias Kleinmann, and Stefan
Nimmrichter) and the research topics include:
