We are currently looking for PhD candidates to complete their
research training at our laboratory, Griffith University’s Quantum
Optics and Information Laboratory. Several PhD Scholarships are
available to work on quantum nonlocality, metrology, and foundations, as
detailed below:

At Quantic group (Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Spain), we develop
quantum computational techniques, software and algorithmic solutions
that require quantum computers or quantum emulators. We exploit all the
scientific tools at our disposal, including HPC, quantum processors and
hardware, and AI techniques. We currently host a digital quantum
computer, and we are in the process of installing a quantum annealer,
both based on superconducting circuits technology, installed on-site and
integrated with our supercomputer MareNostrum5. Therefore, one of our
Fully-funded postdoctoral position in Quantum Information Science at
Trinity College Dublin
A postdoctoral position is available at Trinity College Dublin in the
group of Prof. Felix Binder. The starting salary is 54,307€ p.a., with a
separate travel budget. The start date is flexible.
We are looking for a Post-doctoral Researcher to
work in the International Centre for Theory of Quantum
Technologies (ICTQT) hosted by the University of Gdańsk. The
position is offered in the Quantum Devices in Computer Science
Group led by Michał Studziński.

The National Quantum Science and Technology Institute (NQSTI)
organizes the International School - Advances in Atomic and
Photonic Quantum Technologies.
The School will take place in San Benedetto del Tronto,
Italy, from September 1–5, 2025 and it is intended for PhD
students, post-docs and early-career researchers, final-year MSc
students, and professionals with a strong background in quantum
physics.
We are seeking two research associates with experience in the broad
area of quantum information science and technology, and an interest in
quantum foundations more specifically, to work with Dr Jonte R Hance
within the Advanced Model-Based Engineering and Reasoning (AMBER)
Research Group in the School of Computing. These positions are funded
under Dr Hance’s EPSRC Quantum Technologies Career Acceleration
Fellowship, titled “Developing Quantum Advantage by Understanding the
Paradoxical Aspects of Measurement in Quantum Systems”.
This project leverages foundations to pave the way for the novel
quantum protocols, algorithms, and technologies of the future. You will
work closely with internal collaborators, external project partners
(including at the University of Bristol, Heriot-Watt University,
Northumbria University, and the National Quantum Computing Centre in the
UK, and Kyoto University, Nagoya University, Kagawa University, and
Hiroshima University in Japan), and new and developing external
collaborators. These 5-year fixed-term positions should provide a path
to research independence, and Dr Hance will provide support and guidance
for applying for independent fellowships and other such opportunities
for developing independence throughout the term of the position.

“Exploring the Quantum Frontier—Where Ideas Become Reality.”
The aim of the Quantum Devices in Computer Science group is to focus on unlocking the power of symmetries in quantum systems and understand the induced capabilities for quantum computation and quantum data transmission protocols. Our scientific activity is based on strong mathematical foundations relying on developing and applying advanced tools in representation theory.
