The National Quantum Science and Technology Institute (NQSTI) organizes the International School - Advances in Atomic and Photonic Quantum Technologies.

The School will take place in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy, from September 1–5, 2025 and it is intended for PhD students, post-docs and early-career researchers, final-year MSc students, and professionals with a strong background in quantum physics.

The programme focuses on atom-based quantum technologies and quantum photonic platforms, covering fast-evolving domains such as quantum optomechanics, sensing technologies, and their applications in precision metrology. It covers the latest advances in quantum communication and information processing based on photonic and atomic platforms, offering a broad perspective on the transformative potential of these technologies in science and industry.

Lectures will be delivered by internationally renowned experts, including: D. Cassettari, A. Cleland, M. Colautti, M. Fattori, J. Fink, I. Gianani, V. G. Lucivero, F. Marquardt, J. S. Neergaard-Nielsen, M. Rossi, and F. Scazza.

  • Registration fee: €250 (includes coffee breaks, lunches, and a social dinner)

  • Poster session: Participants are encouraged to present a poster. Up to 30 poster presenters will be selected for short talks (same submission deadline: July 15th).
