It is our pleasure to announce the first QuEST (Quantum Engineering Science and Technologies) School, to be held in Singapore from 8 to 13 January 2018, at the Nanyang Executive Centre, Nanyang Technological University.
The QuEST School is conceived as an extension of the QuEST Symposium held in November 2016 in Singapore. It aims at welcoming graduate students and young researchers to lectures by experts on a variety of topics in line with a chosen theme. QuEST School 2018 will focus on the theme of Quantum Technologies with Light.
PhD projects in “quantum physics and quantum simulations” in CQT Singapore
The positions are within the Quantum Optics and Quantum Simulators Group lead by Dr. Dimitris G. Angelakis. The group's research interests span most aspects of theoretical quantum physics and its applications in implementing quantum computation and quantum simulations.
PhD projects will involve the study of quantum optical systems such superconducting qubits, slow light systems, quantum nano-photonic arrays for building quantum simulators and quantum computers.
The positions are in the group of Dimitris G. Angelakis (www.dimitrisangelakis.org). We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong research background and a PhD in theoretical quantum optics/physics and/or quantum information and/or quantum many-body physics/quantum condensed matter.
