The 5th ETSI/IQC Workshop will take place in London (UK) on 13 – 15 September 2017. It will start with a special Executive Track on 13 September and will be followed by an in depth technical track on 14-15 September 2017.
As we increasingly rely on cyber technologies, we are ever more vulnerable to cyber-attacks. The cybersecurity tools at the centre of protecting our business functions and information assets from cyber threats rely on cryptographic tools and standards that will be broken by emerging quantum technologies.
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Macquarie University (MQ) in Sydney Australia is making a substantial investment to grow its research capacity in quantum science and seeks to appoint an outstanding candidate to a continuing position as Lecturer (level B) or Senior Lecturer (level C).

We would like to announce the 657. WE-Heraeus Seminar entitled “Quantum Correlations in Space and Time”. The seminar will take place at the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef, Germany from 10th until 13th December 2017. It will cover the topics of Bell nonlocality, steering, entanglement and temporal correlations.
The registration closes at 1st October 2017. We encourage young scientists to apply.
Due to the generous support of the WE-Heraeus Foundation, there will be no conference fee, and meals and accommodation at the Physikzentrum will be covered.

This is a fellowship scheme funded by Aberystwyth University, the
Welsh Government and the European Union. It is aimed at researchers
with 3-5 years post-PhD experience (no exceptions) and
comes with a 2 year appointment. To be eligible, you have to have spent
no more than 12 months in the UK over the last three years (0 months is

Two postdoctoral fellowships and two PhD student positions are available in the Baugh group at the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC), University of Waterloo. We anticipate 2-year postdoctoral appointments, with the possibility of a 3rd year, contingent on performance and funding. These appointments may begin as early as September 2017.
