We offer a 2-years post-doctoral position for a motivated researcher to join our work on spin qubits in silicon carbide (SiC). Colour centres in SiC have recently be shown to uniquely combine excellent spin properties with ultrastable optical transitions for spin-photon interfacing (see, for example, our collaborative work publish in Nature Communications 10, 1954). Our goal is to develop quantum devices, integrating spintronic, electronic and photonic functionalities on a single chip, by exploiting the power of a technologically-mature semiconductor platform.

Application deadline:

We are seeking for a talented and independent graduate student who wishes to develop her/his scientific career in a productive and motivating environment. This doctoral degree project will be carried out in the quantum photonics group led by Ana Predojevic (http://qphotonics.fysik.su.se). The successful candidate should have interest in quantum optics, quantum metrology, or quantum technologies.
Interested applicants should apply using the following link:

The „Quantum Valley Lower Saxony“ (QVLS-Q1) research consortium, a collaboration between TU Braunschweig, Leibniz University Hannover and Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), aims at realizing a 50-qubit quantum computer based on trapped ions.

The consortium invites applications for the position of a Junior Research Group Leader (m/f/d) in Cloud-based Quantum Technologies (Salary Scale 14 TV-L, 100 %) at the earliest possible date. The position is limited to 3 years with a possibility of extension. The location is Hannover.

Application deadline:

In the Theory of Cold Atoms group of Prof. Uwe R. Fischer at Seoul National University, a Postdoc position is open in the field of quantum simulations of curved spacetimes (aka analogue gravity). Previous experience in the latter field and its implementations in various systems is required, such as in ultracold dilute quantum gases, ion traps, polariton condensates etc., and is to be documented in published form.

We invite you to the next QWebinar. This time we will have a talk "Understanding quantum matter using intelligent machines" by Eliška Greplová from Delft University of Technology.

QWebinar: Understanding quantum matter using intelligent machines
