The JARA Institute for Quantum Information (PGI-11) of the Juelich Research Centre in Germany offers at least one PhD position. The positions are funded by German and international collaborative projects. The research will focus on modeling superconducting devices, in particular qubits and resonators for quantum information and simulation applications, with the aim to understand and mitigate error sources. Comparison with experimental data will be integral part of the research.

ISOM UPM offers: a work contract for a highly motivated postdoc with high academic performance, strongly determined to participate and contribute to a breakthrough project on the subject of quantum communications.
The final goal of the project is design and installation of the first quantum network capable of connecting entire Europe. The work will focus on the assembly of an experimental quantum key distribution system and its integration into the global optical fiber network.

The Vienna Center for Quantum Science and Technology (VCQ) is a joint collaboration
initiative, which currently involves about 25 research groups based at four leading
research institutions in and around Vienna. The aim of the VCQ is to advance
modern quantum science and technology based on a broad and multidisciplinary
research agenda. The topics addressed within VCQ range from the foundations of
quantum mechanics to complex quantum optical and many-body effects and their
application for emerging quantum technologies.
