For the newly established research group on quantum cryptography led by Ramona Wolf at the University of Siegen (Germany), we are looking for a motivated PhD student or Postdoc. Possible research topics include:
- Security proof techniques for quantum key distribution, in particular those related to quantum steering
- Quantum random number generation
- Entropic uncertainty relations and their use in QKD
- Quantum foundations
Applicants for a PhD position are expected to have
We are looking for candidates to fill an experimental PhD or postdoc position at the Quantum hacking lab led by Vadim Makarov at Vigo quantum communication center. We need candidates with background in electrical and optical engineering, applied physics, electronics, optics, or telecommunications. A successful applicant will be employed full-time at the University of Vigo, Spain.
We are looking to fill a PhD position in the Hybrid Quantum Systems group led by Carlos Gonzalez-Ballestero at the Vienna University of Technology. We search a motivated candidate with strong analytical skills to develop theoretical work on levitated quantum optomechanics in close collaboration with experiments. Women are especially encouraged to apply. More information on our research and how to apply at https://www.gonzalezballesterogroup.com
We are offering 1 PhD & 1 postdoctoral position to well-qualified, highly motivated, and dynamic young scientists who wish to enhance their scientific career in a stimulating environment.

The Photonic Quantum Information Processing (PQuIP) group at the University of Ottawa is looking for candidates for a PhD student position with focus on Light-matter interaction for quantum applications. The group has a broad range of interest from quantum communication and networks to quantum metrology and computing. We will theoretically explore light-matter interfaces such as atomic ensembles, cavity QED, defects in solids, and Rydberg physics for various applications in quantum communication and metrology.
