This internship project could bring together two teams of CPT and LIS, to explore at the frontier between quantum information and theoretical physics, the basic mechanisms relating network complexity, quantum states and dynamics. We will investigate interacting many-body quantum walks and automata on dynamical graphs, and use their entanglement evolution and other information tools to link topological and information processing properties.

Following the success of last years MIT PhD Student interns (Dax Koh and Mason Biamonte), Skoltech Deep Quantum Labs is seeking MIT student applicants to the MIT-MISTI summer exchange program.

Students should be pursuing a thesis in

- Quantum information theory, quantum information processing and associated topics
- Stochastic physics, complex networks and associated topics as they relate to quantum theory
- Machine learning applied to physics

We are searching for an outstanding young scientist in theoretical quantum physics. Successful candidates are expected to establish vigorous research programs and to collaborate closely with research groups in quantum physics at IQOQI and the University of Innsbruck, as well as to broaden or complement the existing research activities. All candidates should have a PhD and post-doctoral research experience at a university or comparable research institution. Women are particularly encouraged to apply.

Our ambitious goals at Chalmers are to build a quantum computer with 100 superconducting qubits, and to apply it to real computational problems that cannot be efficiently solved on a conventional computer. Such computationally hard problems are found, e.g., in optimization, machine learning, quantum chemistry, materials science, etc. Having contributed to starting the research field of superconducting quantum circuits, we are now scaling up our efforts to build a quantum computer.

Application deadline:

We invite applications for several opportunities in experimental Quantum Information Science and Condensed Matter Physics as either a Postdoctoral or Senior Research Associate. The focus of these positions will be on the design and measurement of superconducting circuits for quantum simulation applications.

Dear colleagues,

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Paderborn, Germany, is seeking to recruit motivated Masters and Ph.D. students in theoretical quantum computation, with a focus on the areas of quantum algorithms, computational complexity theory, and/or cryptography.

Application deadline:

Thursday, October 1, 2020

Do you want to build a technology that enables autonomous cars, aircraft navigation, and even makes energy cheaper? Do you want to use your research for real-world applications that can change the trajectory of humanity? So do we!
