Connecting the “who’s who” in quantum computing software to their end-users

Quantum computing is becoming a reality and, with recent accomplishments, software for this promising technology is becoming key for successful utilization. Numerous players introduce new software solutions frequently. The Munich Quantum Software Forum aims to bring the “who’s who” in quantum computing software together and connect them to their end-users.

Application deadline:

Sunday, October 15, 2023

A 2-year post-doc position is available to develop experimental quantum communication protocols, focused on the continuous variables encoding. The duration of the contract can be extended at the candidate's request, subject to his/her performance results. The candidate will join Telecom Paris, one of the member of the Institute Polytechnique de Paris. We target December 1st 2023 for the starting date, but with some flexibility to start later (until February 2024). The work of the post-doctoral student will be part of the European project QSNP (Quantum Secure Network Partnership) gathering 40 European academical and industrial partners. She/He will be co-supervised by Dr. Nicolas Fabre (GTO, Telecom Paris) and Prof. Romain Alléaume (Quriosity = QTY, Telecom Paris - Inria).

Recent breakthroughs across multiple experimental platforms have demonstrated that quantum systems can be measured, controlled and manipulated in real time, opening doors to novel tasks in information processing, communication and sensing.

The aim of the workshop is to take advantage of this unique opportunity and bring together experts from across the world in both theory and experiment, addressing both the current progress and future challenges within the field.

PhD and postdoc positions are available in the group of Prof. Stefan Willitsch at the University of Basel (Switzerland) on the development of quantum technologies for single trapped molecular ions and their application in precision spectroscopy.
