The study of quantum coherent dynamics is currently one of the most active and exciting areas in physics. It holds the promise for the development of new technologies (quantum computing, quantum metrology,...) and, at the same time, has already delivered insights into the foundations of quantum mechanics. Its fast moving pace, in both theory and experiment, has attracted many young researchers and summer schools have become an integral part of the education and networking of students.

A suitably qualified and experienced individual is required to carry out research on experimental Atomic Physics and Ultracold Bose Fermi mixtures. The research is part <!--break-->
of a project investigating transport and localisation in ultracold quantum gases, especially a caesium BEC with lithium impurities. Candidates must have a PhD in physics <!--break-->
and experience with experimental manipulation of ultracold atomic gases, atomic physics and quantum optics. They should be confident, have good communication skills <!--break-->

The PhD fellow will work on the theory of cavity quantum electrodynamics of resonators embedding high-mobility 2D electron gases (both massive electrons in semiconductors and Dirac fermions in graphene).
The fellowship is funded by the Marie-Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) NOTEDEV and offers a very attractive salary and mobility allowances. <!--break-->

This workshop will bring together leading and upcoming international and Australian researchers and research students with an interest in the foundations of quantum theory. We will have a special focus on generalised probabilistic theories and reconstructions from foundational principles, but we also welcome contributions within other topics such as ontological models, nonlocality, contextuality, and fundamental tests. The objective of the meeting is to review current progress in the field and spark new directions for research.
