The Faculty of Science at the University of Calgary is inviting
applications for a Tier-2 Canada Research Chair in the area of Quantum
Algorithms. The successful candidate will be appointed at the rank of
Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy or in
the Department of Computer Science. This is an excellent opportunity to
join a vibrant research community and contribute to cutting-edge work at
the Institute for Quantum Science and Technology (IQST), as well at the
newly established Quantum Horizons Alberta institute.

In the first qmeets talk, Professor Silke Weinfurtner and Dr. Patrik
Svancara from the University of Nottingham will introduce quantum
simulations of curved spacetimes around rotating compact objects like
black holes. They’ll reveal how quantum tornadoes—giant vortices in
superfluid helium—can help decode signals captured by gravitational wave
detectors, bringing us closer to understanding the cosmos.
Join our mailing list from our website https://qmeets.eu to receive
the Zoom link of the event!

International Workshop on the Art, Science, and Engineering of
Quantum Programming (QP 2025) is intended for researchers, including
students, at any stage of their careers. Moreover, practitioners are
also a relevant audience for the workshop. We foresee QP 2025 as a
specialization of the Programming 2025 conference; thus, all topics
covered by Programming 2025 that are tailored to quantum programming are
relevant to QP 2025.
Dates:
Monday, September 1, 2025 to Friday, September 5, 2025
This School will feature tutorial style lectures introducing themes
of broad interest in the areas of non-equilibrium systems, quantum
fluids, engineered quantum systems, Rydberg atoms and ions and quantum
information, among others from a theoretical and experimental
perspective providing a basis for new members of the community,
deepening the knowledge of more experienced ones and giving a flavour of
current trends in the field. All lectures will be given by leading
scientists from around the world, but participants are strongly
encouraged to present and discuss their own research, especially during
a dedicated poster session and a few contributed talks. The level of the
lectures will be aimed at graduate students and young post-docs.

We are looking for:
1: A PhD student to design and operate integrated photonic circuits for networked quantum applications.
2: A PhD student to pioneer advanced quantum photonics experiments using large-scale integrated processors.
Application deadline:
Wednesday, April 30, 2025
Equal1 are looking for a dedicated Quantum Error Correction Researcher to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. This pivotal role blends rigorous expertise in quantum error correction with a passion for pushing the frontiers of quantum computing research from conceptual studies to real-world application.
The newly established group of Prof. Marko Rancic is looking for a highly-motivated Postdoctoral Fellow in Quantum Computing for studying Phase Transitions. The postdoctoral position for an initially shorter duration of 9 months. The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character.
Centre for Quantum Engineering, Research and Education offers a postdoc position. The candidate should have research experience in atomic and molecular physics/quantum chemistry or/and quantum computing/quantum algorithms. The goal of the researcher will be to develop and test programs to carry out atomic and molecular physics/ quantum chemistry calculations in the quantum computing framework.
