Post-doc in the heory of continuous-variable quantum computing and bosonic codes at Chalmers (Sweden)
We are looking for a motivated and skilled post-doc to join forces
with Prof. Giulia Ferrini’s group at Chalmers (Sweden).
The successful candidate carry out will research in the field of
theoretical continuous-variable quantum computation. In particular, the
focus will be on bosonic codes, classical simulation of quantum
computers, and resource theory for quantum computation. They will carry
theoretical studies using both analytical and numerical tools, in these
subject areas. They will also interact with the experimental groups at
Chalmers, as well as with international collaborators.
The project will be carried at the division Applied Quantum Physics
at Chalmers, and as a part of the Wallenberg Centre for Quantum
Technology (WACQT). WACQT is a 12-year, billion-SEK initiative started
in 2018 with the purpose of advancing Swedish academia and industry to
the forefront of quantum technology, and to build a Swedish quantum
computer. The WACQT team at Chalmers currently has about 100 members
(faculty, permanent research staff, postdoctoral researchers, PhD
students, and undergraduate students). WACQT is committed to promoting
career development, diversity, and gender equality through networking
and supporting activities.
